Fronted by Todd Youth (who joined Murphy's Law at the ripe age of 15 and whose credits include Danzig, D-Generation and Motorhead), The Chelsea Smiles were formed in Los Angeles in 2003. They were quickly signed to Capitol Records and released a critically celebrated EP. The band became known for it's high energy live performance and soon found themselves sharing the stage with such notables as the New York Dolls, Social Distortion, Backyard Babies and The Datsuns to name a few.

On “Thirty Six Hours Later” The Chelsea Smiles burn through 12 tracks with reckless abandon, including covers of the New York Dolls "Chatterbox" and "Pillbox" by underground Los Angeles legends, The Joneses. The record teems with the immediacy and vigor that is lost on the over-produced slick sounds of today’s “rock” bands. “TSHL” is a salute to rock n’ roll, beat up guitars and loud amplifiers.
